Amy Low: “More Gratitude, Less Fear”
December, 2024
With a heavy heart, The Watermark Agency mourns the loss of Amy Low. Amy was a wise leader, a deep thinker, a compassionate and perceptive companion, a beautiful writer and a good friend. Her book, which published 6 months ago, was a testament to all of the above. I will miss her greatly. I share these words as a lovely benediction from her last interview with Oprah Daily just two weeks ago:
“So I live in a liminal space — living while very much aware I’m dying. This is true for all of us, but it’s not abstract for me.
Three pieces of magic have revealed themselves to me:
First, we’re all going to have mountains to climb in our lives. That is, some chapters will involve suffering.
Second, miracles sit right next to heartbreak. Look for them. Some might seem mundane — they are not.
Finally, when you witness the miracles, two things tend to happen:
· Gratitude enters
· Fear exits
These days – especially these days — call for more gratitude and far less fear.
And – perhaps more than anything — eyes to better spot those miracles hiding in plain sight.”
