Mark Tauber is the Founder and President of the Watermark Agency

He led the HarperCollins, Inc. imprints Harper San Francisco and Harper One as SVP & Publisher for 13 years and was the Founder and Managing Director of Chronicle Books, Prism imprint and the Chronicle Audio division for three years.

He has published more than 125 New York Times and National/International Bestsellers and created multiple books that have gone on to define their categories and become backlist pacesetters.

He was a co-founder of both Beliefnet, Inc. (acquired by NewsCorp) and EveryDay Health, Inc. (acquired by J2 Global). He began his career working the cash register at two bookshops and carried on with it working in the marketing and publicity departments at Oxford University Press and HarperCollins. He has been inducted into the Books for a Better Life Hall of Fame. He is a reader, father and open water ocean swimmer who lives and works in San Francisco.
