J. Dana Trent

Dana Trent is a writer, professor, Baptist minister, speaker, podcaster and former hospital chaplain. She is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and a Professor of World Religions at Wake Tech Community College. Her writing has appeared in Time, Religion News Service and Sojourners among others. She is the author of four books including Dessert First, One Breath at a Time, For Sabbath’s Sake and Saffron Cross. She is currently working on her next book, VERMILLION: A Memoir of Regret, Resentment, and Redemption in Flyover Country which will be published by Penguin Random House, Convergent in 2024.
